Dr. Shannon Lewis
Choosing the right orthodontist is a meaningful part of your story. You want someone who sees more than just teeth. You want someone who understands you, your goals, and the smile you’re meant to have.
At Lewis Orthodontics, that’s exactly where we begin. Dr. Lewis takes the time to truly get to know each patient, because no two smiles—or stories—are the same. Every treatment is thoughtfully designed to support not just a beautiful smile, but natural facial balance and long-term confidence.
This isn’t about rushing to the finish line. It’s about doing things the right way, from the very beginning.
Because when your care is personal, your results feel like you.
When it comes to knowing her stuff, Dr. Lewis is one of the best. After earning her Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University, she went on to attend the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry, where she earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1999. Then, it was off to Chicago where she completed her general practice residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. While there she worked as a general dentist in private practice for two years. Yet, Dr. Lewis wanted to know more. So, she continued her education and earned her Master of Science in orthodontics from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2004. And before moving back to Oklahoma, she worked as a private-practice orthodontist in Richmond, Virginia.
To say that Dr. Lewis, a board-certified orthodontist in the Oklahoma City area, is seriously dedicated to continuing her education in all forms of patient care, would be an understatement. As the leader of the local Spear Study Club, which focuses on all the latest techniques, materials and aesthetic changes in dentistry, Dr. Lewis is constantly researching and learning in order to ensure she’s always providing the best and fastest treatment for her patients.

Beyond the practice, Dr. Lewis’s greatest joy is her family; her husband and their three children, Allison, Macy, and Garrett.
Life at home is full of the same moments she values in the office: connection, laughter, and time well spent together. Whether it’s a round of golf, a walk outdoors, traveling, or simply being present with her family, those moments shape the care and perspective she brings to every patient.
Rooted in community, Dr. Lewis and her husband also serve together on the national Young Life Alumni and Friends advisory team. Continuing their commitment to supporting others and building meaningful relationships.
For Dr. Lewis, this work has always been about more than smiles. It’s about people, connections, and being part of something bigger. Right here in the Edmond and Midwestern City communities she calls home.

The Consultation
Your smile journey starts with you. This complimentary visit is all about understanding your needs, your goals, and helping you feel comfortable and at home from the very beginning. There’s no pressure just a welcoming space to learn what’s possible for your smile. During your consultation, we gather precise digital records including photographs, radiographs, and a fast two-minute 3D scan. This modern approach eliminates the need for traditional messy impressions and helps us clearly see your smile from every angle. From there, we walk you through personalized treatment options designed around you; so you can move forward with confidence and clarity.
Placement
When you’re ready, we begin your treatment with care and precision. Whether it’s an appliance, braces, or aligners, everything is designed to fit your plan and your lifestyle from day one.
Ongoing Visits
