Dr. Shannon Lewis is proud to practice orthodontics in her home town of Edmond, Oklahoma. She feels blessed to get to build relationships and create beautiful smiles for everyone in her community. Dr. Lewis loves getting to know her patients on a personal level and helping them achieve their best smiles, and all their dreams, with confidence.
Education and Experience
Dr. Lewis earned her Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University. She later graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry, where she earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1999. Dr. Lewis completed her general practice residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago and then worked as a general dentist in private practice for two years. She continued her education and earned her Master of Science and in orthodontics from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2004. She worked as a private-practice orthodontist in Richmond, Virginia before moving back home to Oklahoma.
A board-certified orthodontist, Dr. Lewis is dedicated to continuing her education in all forms of patient care in order to provide the most up-to-date treatment and achieve the best possible results. She is the leader of the local Spear Study Club, which focuses on all the latest techniques, materials, and aesthetic changes in dentistry. In addition, as a member of the Damon® Study Club, Dr. Lewis stays current on the best and fastest ways to straighten teeth and restore bite function.

Outside the Office
Dr. Lewis and her husband have three children: two daughters, Allison and Macy, and a son, Garrett. In her free time, Dr. Lewis enjoys golfing, going for walks, working out, reading, and traveling, especially with her family in tow. She enjoys travelling with her daughters to competitive swim meets and cheering them on.
Dr. Lewis is committed to helping kids become healthy, productive adults. She supports many different schools and sports activities; helps teach kids the importance of healthy gums and teeth by showing them how to floss, brush, and eat healthy; and volunteers for the Schools for Healthy Lifestyles program. Dr. Lewis works hard to reward the positive achievements of her patients both in and out of school. She is active in the community and public school system and serves with her husband on the national advisory committee for Young Life Alumni and Friends.
